The platform is particularly valued by the Spanish boglehead community for combining a bank account, investment account and access to index funds without custody fees in a single place. Its mobile app makes it straightforward to manage buy and sell orders for fund units. Index Balance allows you to automatically import your MyInvestor order history through the CSV file that the platform itself generates. Once operations are imported, you can analyse your real TWRR portfolio return, calculate the optimal rebalancing, project future growth and compare your performance against the MSCI World. Funds must be created in your Index Balance portfolio before importing. The system automatically detects duplicates by fund, date and amount, so you can import the same CSV multiple times without risk of recording repeated transactions.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to create the funds before importing the CSV?
Yes. Funds must be created in your Index Balance portfolio beforehand so the system can link orders by ISIN. If the CSV contains ISINs not in your portfolio, those orders will be flagged as "unknown fund" and will not be imported.
What happens if I import the same CSV twice?
Nothing bad. Index Balance automatically detects duplicate orders by fund, date and amount and skips them. You can import the same file as many times as you like without risk of duplicating transactions.
Are pending orders imported or only completed ones?
Only orders with status Finalizada (Completed) are imported. Orders in pending, cancelled or any other status are ignored during the import process.
Is MyInvestor available outside Spain?
MyInvestor operates exclusively in Spain and requires Spanish tax residency to open an account. If you reside in another European country, you can use Index Balance with brokers such as DEGIRO, Trade Republic or Interactive Brokers by recording your transactions manually.
